Words of Wisdom

nerdfighters rules Hello Fellow BookNerds!

As much as I love the coming of Spring, I would love it even more if every assignment, essay, midterm and project wasn’t due at the same time. It makes it unbearably difficult to do my work when the sky turns that clear shade of blue, the trees starting budding little flowers, and the birds are singing gentle melodies right outside my window. There are times when I think mother nature takes pleasure in dangling this beautiful scenery just out of reach.

Well, to get through this, I decided to search for the kind of comfort that can only be found in inspirational messages written by people I have never met, and possibly haven’t even heard of … although in this case, I know perfectly well who these words were spoken by, and hopefully you do too!

“Based on this one experience I had, jumping to conclusions is always really stupid.”
-Craig Benzine (WheezyWaiter)

You can’t argue with that logic ^_^

Perhaps it’s not quite the way I would word it, but I definitely agree that one of the dumbest things people can do is jump to conclusions about anything. I don’t care if it seems blatantly obvious, further investigation should be done before assuming anything. Making brash assumptions breeds feelings of contempt, anger and fear towards people we don’t even know, or a fear to do things that would actually be fun if we didn’t assume the worst possible outcome from doing it. Life is only fun when we set aside our fears and just do it!

That’s all for today. Until next time, happy reading!

Cheers,

BookNerd
