ComicCon is Coming to Ottawa!

I’m sure you’ve all heard the buzz about this years ComicCon, but for those of you who have been swamped with work and studies – to which I can relate – here are just a few reasons why you should drop what you’re doing and purchase your tickets for this years Ottawa ComicCon:

1. They have a pretty awesome lineup of guests who will be there, including:
– Kevin Sorbo (Hercules & Andromeda)

– Jewel Staite (Firefly)

– Summer Glau (Firefly)

– Wil Wheaton (Star Trek: The Next Generation, The Guild and Big Bang Theory)

– Jonathan Frakes (Star Trek: The Next Generation)

– Felicia Day (The Guild, Dr. Horrible’s Blog, and Supernatural)

– Gillian Anderson (The X-Files)

– Adam West (Batman)

– Burt Ward (Robin from Batman)

– Billy Dee Williams (Lando from Star Wars)

– Dave Prowse (Darth Vader from Star Wars)

– Nicholas Brendon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)

2. If the first list wasn’t incentive enough, then here is a list of the other guests that might appeal to you comic book fans:

– George Perez (The New Titans, Crisis on Infinite Earths)

– Mike Grell (Green Lantern/Green Arrow, Warlord and Jon Sable Freelance)

3. Although the schedule for the actual events won’t be up until April, there are a few things that you can look forward to now:

– A chance to ask your favourite actors, writers or artists questions at one of the many panels

– A chance to get your picture taken with your favourite star

– A chance to dress up in your best costume and show it off to the masses

– Let’s not forget all of the awesome things to be purchased!

It’s definitely something you don’t want to miss! I myself have never gone before, but I did not hesitate in buying my tickets this time around. After all, “when in Ottawa, do as the Ottawa… Ottawai… what the people of Ottawa do”. The following will provide the location, dates, times, and the link to the website where you can find out more about the convention and where you can purchase your tickets:

Friday May 10th: 2pm – 9pm

Satrurday May 11th: 10am – 7pm

Sunday May 12th: 10am – 5pm
