The End of a Successful P4A 2012!

Hello All!

Project for Awesome

Today at noon, the 2012 Project for Awesome hosted by the Vlogbrothers John and Hank Green ended, having raised over 400,000 dollars for charity, and an additional penny for each one of the over 700,000 comments that were posted for the P4A videos. It was a fun filled 48 hours, and I am already anxious for next years event.

If you are still interested in donating money, or purchasing one of the many prizes, or ‘perks’, that have been offered during the project, you can still do so by visiting the Project for Awesome website. 100% of the money raised, minus the costs of the prizes, goes to charity. The people who run this event are all volunteers, so none of the money gets deducted to pay them. This is why this event is such a success; it is done with the pure intention of helping others, and not for any kind of personal gain.

I would like to give my own shout out to the people who made this event possible, and to all those who contributed to the Project for Awesome in one way or another. I would also like to express how honoured I feel to be a part of the ever growing Nerdfighter community, whose life work is to decrease world suck and increase world awesome, one act at a time.

If you’re curious about what the hosts of this event are all about, and what inspires them to do these amazing things, throw a glance at their Vlogbrothers YouTube channel. Trust me, you won’t regret it!

That’s all for today, and now that the P4A event has come to an end, starting tomorrow I will return to my regular blogging schedule.

Cheers 🙂
